We specialize in traditional saunas—dry saunas designed for air temperatures between 160°F and 205°F. With our sauna heaters, you can also pour water over the sauna rocks to create steam if you like a bit more humidity.

We don’t sell infrared saunas because they run much cooler (around 130°F to 140°F) and don’t offer the same health benefits as traditional saunas.

Preheating a sauna usually takes 45 to 60 minutes, depending on factors like heater strength, sauna size, outdoor temperature, and your target temperature.

Traditional saunas heat up to 160°F–205°F, measured at shoulder height when you’re seated on the upper bench (or the main bench if there’s just one level). It’s normal for the floor to feel cooler since heat rises.

If your head gets too hot, you can wear a sauna hat. These wool and felt blend hats keep your head cool, so you can enjoy the heat more comfortably on the rest of your body.

Beginners: 5–10 minutes

One of the great things about high-quality traditional wood saunas is that they require very little maintenance.

To keep your sauna in good condition, just clean the benches, walls, and floor with a damp cloth or soft brush to remove sweat and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals, paints, or varnishes inside, as the wood needs to breathe. You can also encourage users to sit on towels to help prevent stains. Occasionally treating the wood with a breathable preservative can help extend its life.

Shingles are optional, but we strongly recommend getting them for your outdoor sauna.

They help protect the wood from the weather, keeping your sauna looking great for longer. Shingles also help waterproof the sauna and prevent leaks. Without shingles, the wood may shrink over time, causing cracks in the roof that could let water in.

No, saunas need a dedicated circuit, so you'll likely need to hire an electrician to hard-wire the heater.

It’s important to make sure your sauna is wired properly for safe and efficient use. Here’s what you’ll need to tell the electrician (please double-check with us for your specific setup):

• The sauna requires 220v power.
• For a 6.0kw heater, you’ll need a 30 amp breaker and 8/2 wire (if the distance from the breaker box is over 90 feet, use 10/2 wire).
• For anything above 6.0kw, use a 40 amp breaker and 8/2 wire.
• If the wire run is over 90 feet, you may need to upgrade the wire size—check with your electrician.

The electrical supply should be close to the sauna but not inside it. Make sure the power source is near enough for the sauna’s power cord, without creating a tripping hazard or needing extension cords.
